Hates Losin'
I first saw Nicky Beechey's 1993 J2A80 Toyota Supra way back in July 2007, I tried to nail her down for a shoot. It has taken me 8 months to nail her down but it was definately worth the wait, and only just in time. Unfortunately, by the time this story has gone to print, the Supra will be sold and Nicky will be living in Dubai. Nicky has had the car for 3 years, and it is one tough streeter, probably the toughest of the girl's cars we have featured here in Street Cruising.

I asked Nicky what colour the car was, she said "boring old silver", well it doesn't look very boring to me, and what is under the bonnet is far from boring. The original 2JZ GTE 3.0 litre engine is there but is far from standard. It has JE Pistons and Eagle Rods. The head and main studs are all ARP, the bearings are ACL and HKS has chipped in for the head gasket, timing belt and cam gears.

The externals of the 2J are just as impressive. There is a Turbonetics T72 turbo for a start. The waste gate is a Tial 45mm and there is a Turbosmart blow off valve. The fuel comes in through 2 x Bosch 044 fuel pumps, an intake pump and a 2 litre surge tank. The injectors are 880cc and fuel gets to them via a custom fuel rail, 80mm billet throttle body and SX regulator. The manifold is standard. Everything is kept in check by a Microtech LTX12S computer. The exhaust is completely customised.

The gearbox is a built standard unit, with manual valve body and 2800 stal converter. The diff is a stock LSD. Brakes are standard, and the wheels are BMS 20 x 8s with 275/35/20s on the rear and 235/35/20s up front. The springs are King superlow.

The inside of the car is fairly unique. The interior has been fully customised in a colour called Lipstick. Nicky wanted to make sure people knew this was a girl's car, and she was not driving her boyfriend's. Pretty sure you got that point across Nicky. She has Autometer oil and boost gauges as well. The stereo is a Pioneer mini disk with a Sony amp.

Nicky would like to thank Steph from International Motorsports for building the engine and tuning it, Scuba Steve for fabrication work and just general help and Extreme Auto Trimming for that Extreme-ly pink interior. Nicky has been around car people for a long time, and before the Supra came 2 VL Commodores, of which one of them was pink as well. This car has been good enough at different times for 12.6 @ 127 mph and 555hp @ 26 psi on the dyno. Yep 555, not bad for a girl's car......... Good enough to kick the arse of most of the blokes I know. She is a member of Most Wanted Car Club and wanted to give a shout out to those guys too. One thing is for sure, for a girl's car, this thing has a ton of nuts, but still retains it's girly beauty, and the plates might say "H8LOSN", but with a car this tough it wont happen very often.................... Good luck in Dubai Nicky from Street Cruising
