Street Cruising

For Teasin'

Nikki Wheeler has always had a love of cars.  Her brother Nathan has helped her along the way with that.  Her first modiifed car was a Mitsubishi Mirage, but she wanted to get something with a little more potential for fun and modification.  Nikki found a 'Charcoal Black' 1996 Nissan Skyline R33 Series 2 and has never looked back.  It hasn't always been a happy time with this car though.  Nikki is a member of Drivn By Heels  She organised a meeting/cruise day to give everyone from Drivn a chance to see the car.  Unfortunately, on that day when she was showing it off, she backed into a pole................OOPS

Nikki hasn't had the car very long, so the modification list isn't as long as the 'to do' list so far, but we will go through what is already on the '33.  The engine is the standard RB25, 2.5 litre.  The turbo has had some work with a custom intercooler, GReddy turbo timer and Turbosmart boost controller added.  The exhaust is a 2 1/2" cat back into a 4" cannon.  Nikki had the car at a skid pan day at Gympie, and a friend of hers, who owns a VY ute, had a drive on the skidpan, and then tried again in Nikki's car.  As soon as he got out he said "I am getting a Skyline".  One thing about these cars is they are very tough from the factory, so even with a few mods it is tough.

The gearbox is a standard 5 speed, and the rest of the drive train is as yet untouched.  The front has HKS camber adjusters.  The brakes are the standard 4 wheel disks and the wheels are Stern 17 x 8s with 255/40/17 Kingstars on the rear and Nankang 235/45/17s n the front.

The interior is fairly standard except for Autometer boost and oil gauges.  The stereo has had some work.  There is a Rockford Fosqate head unit with standard front speakers.  There are 2 Kenwood 400w amps and 2 US Audio subwoofers in the boot.  Definately enough to get your ear drums rattling.  Talking to Nikki you can tell she takes a lot of pride in her car, and I think the mods you see here are only the start of what she has in store for it.  When you talk to her about the day at the skid pan in Gympie, you can hear in her voice that she definately likes to drive the car too, and likes to drive it hard.  I am sure you are going to see her around more, because Nikki is definately a Go-Fast-Girl
