Zac 33
Meet Zac Norris. He is a second generation revhead with a love of turbos, rotaries, bikes and quick cars. His dad Rob is an import man as well and Zac got into them in high school and never looked back. Late in 2007 he sold his 180SX drift car to get out of the drift scene after losing his license and getting a glovebox full of fines and canaries from the boys in blue, with the intention of getting his hands on something that stood out less. He considered a Holden and a Ford but he couldn't get his mind off a Nissan, and the R33 was purchased.

After getting dad to come and have a look at it, the 33 was purchased and Zac took it home and got to work. The interior got ripped out and the stereo got boosted with a sub and amplifier and the entire stereo got rewired. He found some hidden treasures when ripping out the interior - Some Japanese coins, some old chewy and a brand new hat, courtesy of the previous owner.

After owning a 180 with a bit of stick, a stock Skyline was not going to keep Zac happy for long, and after about 2 weeks the boost got a boost, from 7 psi up to 14. That, plus a set of new plugs made it into a way more respectable beast. Some JJR coilpacks gave it another kick a few weeks later. The engine is a fresh built RB25 with a front mount intercooler. Rob loves the thing. Zac's biggest problem is sometimes he has to steal his keys from his old man to get to drive it. Zac reckons it is payback from when he used to take his old man's Silvia out picking up girls a few years back.

Usually at Street Cruising I bring the girls for the shoots, but Zac showed up with his own. The lovely Blair showed up and jumped on the car like a fish to water, and really looked the part, as I am sure you will agree. When you own a car like this, the hotties tend to flock to it and Zac found a quality girl here.

The car has gradually had a few other mods done since Zac got his hands on it. Limo tint has gone on the windows and GT-R HID headlights have improved the look of the beast, new bushes, a solid gearbox mount and short shift kit, with a C's quick shifter and a new deep dish steering wheel has improved the drivability.

The suspension is KYB shocks all round on whiteline springs, riding on 255/35 Nankangs on 9 inch GT-R alloys. The diff is a Nismo Viscos LSD with Nissan's HICAS system and a GT-R rear strut brace as well as an R34 strut brace up front. The noise comes from a Kakimoto full 3 inch system from the dump pipe at the back. Sounds a lot like this car may be heading for the drift scene like the old one.

It was definitely good to get out and see the new breed of revhead, and good to see the talent he brought with him. Zac is looking at upgrading to an R34 now so if you are interested in getting your hands on a solid little sleeper of a car like this one, just shoot an email to
